There are a number of other products that can be used to compliment your process instrumentation system and enhance its features. Among the most commonly required products are:
- Signal converters – used for the conversion of an analogue process signal to another type and /or to provide galvanic isolation. A typical application would be to convert a signal from a probe, not directly compatible with an analogue input of a PLC and/or provide galvanic isolation between input and output.
- Panel mount displays – Digital devices designed to display information such as voltage and current. Products from Status Instruments start with the basic solution DM720 all the way up to the DM4500F.
- Data logging – Modular remote data managers are used to collect and monitor information on your process instrumentation system. The signature product from Siemens is the RD500.
