We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual based in Southampton with experience in the automation or engineering industry. Office-based, the sales engineer must have the ability to advise, follow up and complete sales interactions with our customer base and identify opportunities for them along the way.

Responsibilities include:

• Drawing on a background of technical knowledge in order to develop customer solutions and generate new business.
• Assist in the generation of accurate and competitive sales quotations to meet the customers’ requirements.
• Work efficiently and independently to accomplish company sales objectives.
• Continue to study technical and product-related material in an effort to keep up-to-date with the latest technology.
• Help to build close relations with customers and suppliers.

Skill requirements include:

• A comprehensive knowledge of the Industrial Automation and Control industry and associated products.
• Excellent communication & organisational skills
• Results driven and customer focused
• Good IT skills are essential.
• Works well in a team.
