Pennine Environmental Services Ltd is a Leeds-based company specialising in Process Cooling, that has been providing refrigeration solutions to the food and drink industry since 1975. With food supply being all the most important in 2020, Pennine’s operations are essential to the local and wider industry.

The challenge

One of the worst times for your factory equipment to break is over a bank holiday weekend, where faults can often go unnoticed or its those needed to fix the fault can be unavailable for days at a time. This poses a serious challenge when days of production can potentially be lost to an unforeseen fault. One of Pennine’s customers were hit with downtime over the Easter holiday, something Pennine and Parmley Graham were quick to address.

Identifying the solution

To keep their customer’s systems running, Pennine needed to deliver a number of S7-1500 parts from Leeds to the South-West of England. Pennine did not hold any stock, and required an Automation distributor to supply this over the Easter bank holiday before their customer had experienced too much downtime.

The results

Parmley Graham recognised the importance of Pennine’s request, and our Menston branch responded immediately. One of our Field Sales Engineers dedicated his Easter break to helping a company in need, and met with Pennine Environmental Services to deliver the essential S7-1500 components. Pennine were able to deliver the S7-1500 modules to their customer that same day, and production was successfully restored.
